Lady Luna’s Four Cloaks of Charisma

Lady Luna, You who are of shimmer and glamour,

Lend me today Your four cloaks of Charisma.

Allow me to wear, innermost, Your Cloak of Empathy,

Shining golden, allowing me to connect to people and truly understand their hearts.

Over this, allow me Your Cloak of Perfect Focus,

Blue as a laser, concentrating fully on the person I am listening to, and

Making them feel heard and taken seriously.

Then dress me, over this, in Your exuberant Cloak of Enthusiasm,

Allowing me to speak hope, fun and action into people and to

Rally them to my Cause, which is aligned with Your Cause.

And then last, as an outer shell,

Please allow me to wrap myself in Your Spiky Cloak of Authority.

That the time-wasters, the nit-pickers, the fight-starters

Will back away and not stand in my path.

I shall wear Your four magical Cloaks of Charisma,

And I shall look after them,

And I shall return them to You tonight as I return to my sacred space,

Undamaged and beautiful

With deep thanks.

So may it be to the good of all. It is done.

New Venture

Mark the date!  7 May 2018.

It’s the day the Greenfairy sets out on a new adventure.  I have been reading tarot for a long while now; but there are more exciting ways in which I can bring you sunshine.  I can in fact give you some real help.

Watch this blog:  I will be adding pages.

To kick off on this lovely path, let me share something delicious I found while idly trawling the interwebs.

How to find your life’s calling in 5 minutes!

How much fun is that?  5 minutes!  That’s all it takes!

🙂  Leave a comment about what your life purpose turned out to be !

(And what you thought of this method.)

Namaste, aloha, sayonara, slàn… for now!

The Tao of Pooh

Wonderful philosophy

Spirit Lights The Way

Joy Roses shared this nugget on Nuggets of Gold:

As I pondered the image, these thoughts came to mind:

All things must pass.

Let go and go with the flow.

Every drop is part of the whole.

Water flows over and around obstacles in its path.

You can never step into the same river twice.

What thoughts came to you as you watched the river run?

Aah . . . that’s wisdom!

Today’s Card: The Critic

The Critic

Keywords:

  • Criticism
  • Self-destruction
  • poor work
  • self-image

The Critic

A haughty man pulls up his nose at you.

Note the dark grey background, implying negativity; also, the complete absence of any magical implements whatsoever.

The Critic is not part of the creative process; in fact he can be its death-knell.

Everyone knows one; woe betide you may even be one yourself!  The Critic has the power to destroy where others create.  He has no own creative capacity; he cannot weave miracles like other people.

Interpretation:

Someone is criticizing your work, your person or something about you.

Action:

Ignore, ignore, ignore.  If it’s constructive, it’s critique, not criticism, which is always negative.

Is the critic yourself?

Are you harsh and critical on yourself?  Do you always have to prove that you’re one notch better than the rest?  Be careful that you don’t end up being harsh and critical with everyone around you.

Not only that, but being over-critical with yourself can actually stop you from reaching for your dreams, for your full potential – because there’s that little critic inside you that says:  I’m not good enough.  Right?

Time to let go of the inner critic.

Time to avoid the outer critics, too.

We are each on a unique path through life.  Even your parents can’t criticize your path; it’s not their path.  So avoid people who are critical of you; and go forward without criticizing yourself every step of the way.

Ah non, je ne regrette rien…

Today’s card: Nine of Pentacles

The Question:

When I shuffle the cards, I usually ask:  Give me a card that will have meaning to my readers on the blog.

Nine of Coins

(Sorry, those CSS’sd headings simply didn’t do it for me.  We’ll have to do without them, won’t we?)

Nine of Pentacles:  A card of utter loneliness.  Its other name could have been ‘Solitude’.

A woman – possibly a princess – stands in the palace gardens having a conversation with a wild bird. The association with nature is there; also with spirit. The the birds in the sky reinforce this point.  At her feet, ‘money-daisies’ are flowering.  She is not impoverished; but she is utterly alone, except for her link to nature.

In some decks this lady is elderly or mature; here, she is young, possibly a teenager on her first sortie into the realm of spirit.  We always set out on our path alone.  At various times we find ourselves at solitary nodes.

Is today such a node?

The power of solitude:

This card recommends ‘quiet time’.  Take time to contemplate your path; perhaps meditate or pray.  Become still in yourself.  Spend some time in nature; make your ‘golden list’ counting your blessings.   Try to retain something of that inner stillness throughout the day, make yourself a quiet moment and carry it with you.

We cannot solve every problem in our life today; but if we live today correctly, tomorrow will take care of itself.

The other card for Nine of Pentacles that intrigued me is this one:

It’s the Lorelei!

Once again, the message is solitude (who could be more alone than she?)  The association with spirit is there too (water; the Moon);  and with loneliness but no material shortage (what could the Lorelei need?)

She is perched upon her rock, looking down on the lovely scenery, and other people’s boats.  She can look at it but never be part of it.  All she can do is meditate, contemplate – and occasionally lure a skipper onto the rocks with her beauty.  This is part of her nature though; do you think she can help this?

I love the association with the Moon, and the silver path on the sea.  If The Moon (card) weren’t already ‘my’ card I’d claim this one for myself, now.

Remember to become quiet today.  Pick a mantra (I like:  ‘Just for today I shall not worry’) and keep it close.

By tonight, review how your day went.
